Terms of Service

Last updated: July 27, 2026

These Terms explain the rules for using Torit. Please read them carefully. By using the Service, you agree to them.

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Torit, including the website, studio, APIs, documentation, and related services (collectively, the “Service”) operated by Torit (“Torit,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By creating an account, accessing the Service, or clicking to accept these Terms, you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes that organization.

2. The Service

Torit is a prompt-first workspace for robotics and electronics design. It may generate or help you edit firmware, hardware graphs, schematics, pin maps, bills of materials, mechanical/CAD previews, assembly notes, and related project artifacts.

We may change, improve, suspend, or discontinue features of the Service at any time. We do not guarantee that any particular feature, platform target, board profile, or output format will remain available indefinitely.

Beta, preview, or experimental features may be incomplete, change without notice, or be withdrawn.

3. Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate account information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account.

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with a parent or guardian’s consent and supervision.

Notify us promptly at support@torit.sh if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that appear compromised, abusive, or in violation of these Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You may use Torit to design, iterate on, and export robotics and electronics projects for lawful purposes.

You must not:

  • Upload, transmit, or distribute malware, exploits, or other harmful code
  • Attempt to bypass authentication, rate limits, subscription gates, or other access controls
  • Probe, scan, or attack the Service or related infrastructure except through authorized security research programs we expressly permit
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest the Service in a way that burdens our systems or violates these Terms
  • Use the Service to infringe intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of others
  • Use the Service to design or assist activities that are illegal, dangerous without appropriate engineering review, or intended to cause harm to persons or property
  • Misrepresent the origin of generated content, or present AI outputs as independently verified engineering work without review
  • Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as a competing hosted product without our prior written consent

5. AI-generated and assisted content

Parts of the Service use artificial intelligence and automated tooling to suggest or generate firmware, wiring, pin assignments, BOMs, CAD proxies, assembly steps, and other artifacts.

AI and automated outputs may be incomplete, incorrect, unsafe for hardware, or unsuitable for your specific board, power, timing, or regulatory constraints. You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, validating, and approving all outputs before flashing devices, ordering parts, fabricating PCBs, or deploying to physical systems.

Torit is a design and development aid, not a substitute for professional engineering judgment, safety review, certification, or compliance with applicable laws and standards.

You retain ownership of the prompts and project content you submit, subject to the licenses below. Subject to your compliance with these Terms, you may use outputs generated for your projects for your own purposes, including commercial projects. We do not claim ownership of your project files solely because they were generated or edited with the Service.

6. Your content and licenses

“Your Content” means prompts, messages, project graphs, code, schematics, uploads, comments, and other materials you submit to or create in the Service.

You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit Your Content and that Your Content does not violate law or third-party rights.

You grant Torit a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, display, and create derivative works from Your Content solely as needed to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Service (including running AI inference, compilation, and related processing).

If you make a project public or share it via a share link, you understand that recipients may view the design surfaces you expose. Public or shared projects should not include secrets, private keys, credentials, or personal data you do not intend to disclose.

7. Torit’s intellectual property

The Service—including software, UI, branding, documentation, node catalogs, board profiles (except where third-party or open-source rights apply), and underlying systems—is owned by Torit or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not grant you any right to use Torit trademarks, logos, or brand elements except as needed to identify the Service in good faith and in accordance with any brand guidelines we publish.

Open-source components included in or distributed by the Service remain subject to their own licenses.

8. Plans, credits, subscriptions, and payments

Torit may offer free and paid plans, usage credits, and one-time credit top-ups. Plan limits, credit amounts, and feature access are described in the product and at checkout and may change over time.

Paid subscriptions and credit purchases are processed by our payment partner, Polar. By purchasing, you also agree to Polar’s applicable terms and privacy practices for payment processing.

Fees are generally charged in advance for the billing period shown at checkout (for example monthly or yearly). Taxes may apply based on your location.

Unless required by law or expressly stated at checkout, fees are non-refundable. You may cancel a recurring subscription according to the controls available in your account or through Polar; cancellation typically stops future renewals but does not automatically refund the current period.

We may suspend or limit access if payment fails, if usage exceeds plan limits, or if we reasonably believe fraud or abuse is occurring. Unused credits may expire according to plan terms shown in the product.

9. Third-party services and hardware

The Service may integrate with or depend on third parties such as authentication providers, cloud AI model providers, payment processors, analytics tools, storage providers, and compiler or board tooling.

Your use of third-party services may be subject to those third parties’ terms. We are not responsible for third-party services we do not control.

Hardware you buy, assemble, flash, or operate based on Torit outputs is your responsibility. We are not liable for damaged boards, incorrect wiring, fire, injury, data loss on devices, or other hardware outcomes.

10. Availability and support

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, outages, upstream provider issues, and force majeure events may affect availability.

Support is provided on a commercially reasonable basis via support@torit.sh. Response times are not guaranteed unless separately agreed in writing.

11. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TORIT DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE, SAFE, COMPILABLE, CERTIFIABLE, OR FIT FOR PRODUCTION HARDWARE OR SAFETY-CRITICAL SYSTEMS.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TORIT AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO TORIT FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) USD $50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, the above limits apply to the fullest extent permitted.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Torit and its affiliates from and against claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, your hardware deployments, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request account deletion by contacting support@torit.sh.

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if continued access would create risk to the Service, other users, or third parties.

Upon termination, your right to access the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnity) will survive.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated by email or in-product notice when appropriate.

Continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance of the changes, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.

Courts located in Dhaka, Bangladesh will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms, subject to any non-waivable rights you may have under local law.
